About

I'm a Midwestern girl, born and raised in New Castle, IN. Since high school, I've had a love for technology and went on to get my bachelors degree in Management Information Systems at Ball State University. Got a corporate job where I've been ever since, holding various roles, but most recently as a Microsoft SharePoint administrator. I've just recently cut my hours down to part-time so I can put more time into my handmade business.

Even though I have a geeky tech side, I also have some creative blood running though me. My grandfather was a photographer and painter and I spent many years setting up at craft shows with my mom and aunt when tole painting was popular. Now, I'm an artist for Penny Lane Publishing and have many of my works in stores such as Hobby Lobby, Walmart, Kohls, Kirklands, and Meijer. I have also had artwork licensed by companies, appearing on items from greeting cards to welcome mats. Along with my art, I enjoy making mason jar items for the home, painting signs made on barn and pallet wood and am really enjoying expressing myself through my new found love of hand lettering.

So, I'm a tech geek, an artist, and.... I love a good pick (of the vintage kind)! There's nothing like coming home from an auction with a car full of vintage goodness. I plan on adding a vintage section to the shop in the very near future so I can share some of these finds with you. My tastes lean toward the more industrial side. Anything with aged wood, some metal, a good patina or some cool lettering is what my eye is attracted to.

I couldn't do half of what I do without a supportive family. Ron, my husband, is my silent partner behind the scenes. He continually helps me find room for all my finds, lends a hand in creating some of the products in my shop, helps me set up at my shows and is a great sounding board for new product ideas. Although I slowly seem to be taking over the garage, he loves me anyway. I also have three great boys (2 sons, 1 stepson) who have been very supportive as well. And then there's my co-worker, my shadow, my golden retriever Molly. She's good for licks on the face and makes for good company as she sits by my feet as I create.
